DO YOU PROVIDE SHOES?
Yes, we provide cycling shoes that clip into our bikes. We use SPD SL clips, and a few bikes support both SPD SL and regular SPD clips. Be sure to call to request the regular SPD compatible bikes if you want to bring your own SPD shoes. Don’t forget to bring socks!
DO YOU HAVE LOCKER ROOMS? SHOWERS?
Yes, we have lockers with digital locks, so no need to BYO-lock.
We have separate changing rooms for women and men, as well as showers stocked with hygiene products.
DO YOU PROVIDE WATER?
Yes, we sell water for 1 and we have water fountains for refills.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your class start time. If it’s your first time at RedBike, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior.
WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE?
It is recommended that you arrive at least 10 minutes before class. However, we understand that you may be delayed. In the case that you do not arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time of class for your reserved spot, it may be given to someone on the waitlist.
Classes must be cancelled 12 hours in advance.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear comfortable exercise clothes you can easily ride in. Be sure to bring socks. We provide clip-in SPD SL cycling shoes.
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO TAKE A REDBIKE CLASS?
14 years or older. If you’re under 18, we require a signature from a parent or guardian.
WHAT IF I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A WHILE AND CAN’T DO ALL THE MOVEMENTS?
One of the best things about indoor cycling is that it can be adapted to any fitness level. If you’re a beginner, you can adjust the resistance level on the bike to suit your abilities and go at your own pace. Don’t worry about the choreography your first time and just have fun! We promise it gets easier the more you ride, and you will be hitting all the moves in no time.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT LEVEL CLASSES?
Our standard 45 min classes are made for and welcome all fitness level types. However, we do offer a 60-minute champion classes for a more intense experience, as well as other themed rides that focus on weights.
DO YOU USE WEIGHTS?
Yes, we provide dumbbells for a complete body workout. Plus, you will be working your arms and abs long before the weights portion of each class, as our choreography takes advantage of both the bike and your own body weight to give you a complete workout every time.
HOW MANY CALORIES WILL I BURN IN ONE CLASS?
This will depend on your body, as well as how much you exert yourself during class. On average, indoor cycling classes can burn from 400-700 calories per 45-minute workout.
CAN I TAKE A REDBIKE CLASS IF I’M PREGNANT?
We recommend you check with your doctor before riding at RedBike if pregnant. Doctors do not advise trying a new workout while pregnant, especially something as intensive as cycling. That said, we have many pregnant women who ride right up to their due date, and you can continue to take classes as long as you are comfortable.
