Spin Story: Haley Moss

In this Friday’s edition of Spin Story, we have a truly remarkable tale to share. Haley Moss started going to RedBike in July, but it was only recently that she shared her story with us.

Riding 3 or 4 times a week, Haley crushes it on the bike and is always bursting with joy & enthusiasm.  One would never know that early in life she was diagnosed with high-functioning autism. What is more remarkable is what she has been able to accomplish in her brief 23 years.

Ever humble, Haley always deflects praise…so we’ll do it for her. Currently a Miami Scholar at the University of Miami Law School, she has been recognized by University of Miami, The Dan Marino Foundation, “Hope for Children and Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) for her efforts, talents and philanthropy.

Haley has authored two books including the best seller  “A Freshman Survival Guide for College Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders: The Stuff Nobody Tells You About!”  Her writing has also appeared in numerous online and print publications, including The Huffington Post, Elite Daily, The Mighty, HerCampus, and Zoom Autism, just to name a few.

Oh and she’s a famous artist too, specializing in visual pop & anime.  Her original characters and creations often benefit nonprofits that assist individuals with disabilities. Her artwork has been the featured artwork for Samsung Hope for Children, the Dan Marino Foundation, the Unicorn Children’s Foundation, and UM-NSU’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities.

The #RedPack is more than proud to call her one of our own, and though it pales in comparison to her her other accomplishments, she has lost 15lbs since coming to RedBike! Keep doing what your doing Haley!!!
